Letting go of an expectation
If you could let go of one expectation as you go into next week, what would it be?
This morning I asked what expectation I could let go of as I move into a new week.
My journal prompt and affirmation for today was:
”Today I chose to let go of the expectation that days will go as I have planned, because to "know" and to "think" that they will is not only unnecessary but does not take into account the beautiful, unchanging nature of this world, which, yes, may lead to uncertainty, but is also what builds strength, resilience, growth and JOY, especially when the beautifully unexpected happens.
Not all uncertainties mean bad things.”
So, Why Journal?
Reminding yourself of what is good about you and your life for 5 minutes each day then affirming can have long lasting effects to your mindset and sense of control over many areas, including your sense of purpose and self-confidence.
